Cutters & Punches

There are SO many options when it comes to cutting your cigar. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. Different cuts will all have their own pros and cons. We're here to break it all down for you.

Guillotine Cutter - This is pretty self-explanatory. A guillotine cutter is used to take a clean, flat cut off of the head of the cigar. This cut removes the most surface area from the cigar, thus allowing the most smoke to enter your mouth. However, some do not like this cut because it can sometimes take extra effort to draw the smoke from the cigar.

V-Cut - This cutter will remove a "V" shaped area from the head of the cigar. This has become a favorite of many cigar smokers as of late. This cut is somewhat in the middle of smoke concentration, as it does not remove nearly as much of the head of the cigar as the guillotine.

Punch - The punch does exactly what the name implies. It is a cylindrical blade that punches a small hole in the tip of the head of the cigar. It is a very concentrated draw. It will sometimes be more difficult to draw the smoke, as the area of the cigar that is exposed is much smaller than the guillotine and V cut. However, the smaller hole can produce a more concentrated and direct smoke path to your tongue.
